REPORTS TO: Production Manager
SALARY: Based on experience
GENERAL SUMMARY: Coordinate Remodeling team resources for maximum efficiency of the CROSS Project Managers, Field staff and trade partners across all construction projects. Work with the Project Managers to oversee their projects and assist as needed with Trade partners, suppliers, and inspectors. Ensure compliance with all national and local regulations and building codes, provide weekly progress updates to the Production Manager, and help drive the quality, efficiency, and innovation for maximum GP per Day. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership, management, and accountability for logistics coordinator and field staff
- Interview Project Managers and field staff
- Conduct quarterly conversations and annual reviews for Project Managers, Master Carpenters and Master Painters and Logistics Coordinator, identifying growth opportunities and training needs
- Assist with hiring, training, and/or dismissal of remodeling staff.
- Project collaboration and task management
- Have complete construction knowledge in order to assist Project Managers in situations as needed, and be able/willing to train Project Managers to gain this same construction knowledge
- Communicate with Project Managers regarding oversight of field teams, coordinating tasks, review Project Manager material take-offs when needed, ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and budget, and conveying results of attended inspections as needed
- Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and other specialists to provide insight or clarity during various project phases
- Visit project sites regularly during construction and attend status and coordination meetings
- Field staff management and direction
- Facilitate weekly meetings to provide guidance and instruction to the Master Carpenters and Master Painters regarding weekly project goals
- Develop and ensure that all field staff complete the necessary training within a timely manner
- Schedule manpower in pursuit of successfully accomplishing project schedules
- Identify, discuss, and resolve potential schedule conflicts with Project Managers within a reasonable time frame
- Make all schedule changes and edits and notify the affected field staff and Project Managers of the changes
- Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions adjusting schedules as necessary
- Ensure CROSS work adheres to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
- Construction oversight and process improvements
- Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable, and that CROSS owned tools and equipment are in good working order
- Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
- Regularly refine, maintain, and update relevant CROSS Production SOPs with the Master Carpenters and Master Painters
- Provide weekly direction and oversight for the Logistics Coordinator
- Oversee and monitor all stock and tool inventory process
- Source new vendors and negotiate pricing for stock materials bulk purchases
- Continuously search for new Trade Partners to build our bench and develop relationships with new Trade Partners alongside Design Build Director and Home Services Director
- Meet with or communicate with regular Trade Partners annually to solicit and give feedback
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
- Ability to communicate in more than one language
- Professional certification, such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager), AC (Associate Constructor), or CPC (Certified Professional Constructor)
- Fifteen or more years of experience in coordinating or managing remodeling projects
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
- Ability to oversee and coordinate different aspects of multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices
- Proven working experience in construction management
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Familiarity with construction management cloud-based software
- Ability to plan and see the big picture
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
